We specialize in fabricating high-performance drone netting for the unique demands of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry. Our custom drone containment nets are essential for ensuring safety during research, testing, training, and public demonstrations. Every drone barrier net is made in the USA from a range of advanced materials and produced to your precise dimensional specifications, allowing you to construct a reliable enclosure for any airspace. This guide will help you select the ideal netting solution for your specific drone application.
Common Applications for Drone Netting
Our custom UAV nets are the trusted choice for a variety of professional and institutional applications, including:
- University & Corporate Research and Development Labs
- Commercial Drone Pilot Training Facilities
- Indoor & Outdoor Drone Racing Courses
- Public Demonstrations, Trade Shows & Special Events
- Protective Barriers for Sensitive Equipment or Workspaces
- Rooftop or Urban Drone Delivery & Logistics Hubs
Choosing Your Drone Containment Net
The best netting for your project depends on the size and speed of your drones, the location of the enclosure, and your overall safety requirements. We have organized our solutions into performance tiers to help you make a confident selection.
Standard Containment | Knotted Nylon Netting
Our twisted- knotted DuPont® Nylon is a reliable and cost-effective choice for general-purpose drone safety, training cages, and containing smaller, lighter-weight UAVs.
- 1-3/4" Mesh (#12 or #21 twine): The recommended choice for containing most small to medium-sized consumer and commercial drones. The smaller mesh ensures the drone body cannot pass through. Choose the heavier #21 twine for greater impact resistance.
- 4" Mesh (#15 or #30 twine): An economical choice for containing large drones only. This mesh is lighter and offers better visibility, making it suitable for applications where only larger UAVs are in use and passing through the mesh is not a concern.
High-Performance Containment | Kevlar® & HMWPE Netting
For applications involving high-speed, heavy, or expensive drones—or where public safety is a critical factor—our high-performance materials are the essential choice.
- Kevlar® Netting (Ideal for Indoor Use): Kevlar® offers an incredible strength-to-weight ratio with an ultra-thin profile for minimal visual obstruction—a key benefit for optical sensors and cameras. Its NFPA 701 flame retardancy certification makes it the premier choice for indoor arenas, trade shows, and public events.
- HMWPE Netting (Ideal for Outdoor Use): High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (used in Dyneema®/Spectra®) provides the highest tensile strength available. It is exceptionally lightweight, has very low wind-shear, and offers superior UV resistance, making it the ultimate material for large, permanent outdoor drone containment enclosures.
