Unlike other sports, the small size and high velocity of a hockey puck make mesh size a crucial safety consideration.

• 1" to 1-1/2" Mesh | For Direct Impact & Primary Puck Containment
  This is the required mesh size range for any net intended to stop a hockey puck at full velocity. It is essential for rink perimeter barriers, spectator protective netting behind the glass, hockey impact nets for shooting practice, and any area where pucks are in play.

• 1-3/4" Mesh | For Distance Barriers & Reduced Velocity Areas
  This slightly larger mesh should only be used in areas where puck velocity will be significantly reduced. It is suitable for general field barriers, separating spaces in multi-sport gymnasiums, or for the upper, far-distance containment netting in very large arenas.
