Our custom lacrosse netting provides exceptional ball containment for playing fields, training facilities, and backyard setups. Fabricated in the USA from high-strength, weather-resistant nylon, our custom lacrosse barrier nets are engineered to withstand repeated high-velocity impacts. We produce every net to your exact dimensional specifications for a perfect fit. Whether you need lacrosse backstop netting for behind the goal or a complete errant ball catch netting system for a lacrosse field, we deliver the most durable and reliable solution available.
How to Choose the Right Lacrosse Netting
Selecting the correct lacrosse net is essential for safety and performance. The process involves choosing the right mesh size to reliably stop the ball, then selecting the material and twine thickness for your specific application.
Step 1: Choose Your Mesh Size (Critical for Ball Containment)
A standard lacrosse ball has a diameter of approximately 2.5 inches, making mesh size the most important factor in any lacrosse barrier net.
- 1-3/4" Mesh | Standard for Lacrosse Containment
This is the largest recommended mesh size for safely stopping lacrosse balls. It is the ideal and most common choice for perimeter netting, sideline barriers, and general lacrosse field netting where shots are taken from a distance.
- 1" or 1-1/2" Mesh | For High-Impact & Multi-Sport Use
A smaller mesh provides increased durability for nets facing repeated, close-range shots. This size is highly recommended for lacrosse backstop netting directly behind a goal, for heavy-use training facilities, or for multi-sport fields that also need to contain smaller balls from sports like hockey or golf.
Step 2: Select Your Netting Material & Strength
Once you've chosen the appropriate mesh size, select the material that best suits your facility's needs for durability and performance.
Standard Duty | Twisted-Knotted Nylon
This is our most popular and versatile material, offering an excellent combination of strength and value for most lacrosse applications.
- #18 Twine (Recommended Standard): Available in 1" mesh, this is the go-to choice for most scholastic fields, municipal parks, and residential backstops. It is built to handle direct lacrosse ball impacts.
- #12 Twine (Lightweight): Available in 1" mesh, this option should only be used for non-impact applications, such as protecting ceilings or light fixtures from errant sticks. It is not recommended for direct shot absorption.
Heavy Duty & Color Options | Knotless Nylon
This premium nylon offers a significant upgrade in abrasion resistance and provides aesthetic options.
- #26 x 1" Knotless Nylon: With its high durability, this is an excellent choice for heavy-duty lacrosse backstop netting that endures constant use. It is also the solution for installations requiring specific colors, available in Black and White.
