A Very Custom Shape, Nylon Netting Production

Customized nylon nets are one of the specialty netting products that are available from Gourock.com.  There are many different applications and uses for netting, and the unique requirements for each customer can be drastically different and quite variable.
From the DuPontĀ® Type 66-728 Twisted-Knotted Nylon Netting that we have available, there are opportunities for customized shapes and features to be incorporated into the overall fabrication of the finished product.  This is really helpful for barrier netting situations that require tapers or angled edges in order to properly block/cover the area functionally.  As long as we get forwarded some good dimensions and context for the job, you can essentially get what you need for the completed netting shape.  Of course there are some limitations and a few required product features, but generally speaking there is a really wide open opportunity for customized shapes and sizes to be made for your particular installation.

Here is an example of a very custom nylon net that we facilitated for a customer in New York.  He owns a property with a pond on it, and the property also features some extensive landscaping and structural elements throughout the area.  His goal was to install a barrier net over the top of the pond in order to protect his fish from being consistently caught and eaten by predatory birds in the area.  Pond barrier netting and bird deterrent netting is a pretty common thing for us to supply – and we do so basically every week.  But this particular net needed to be very specifically designed and fabricated to take into account the surrounding area of his pond, and his available installation/connection points.  It took a few different versions and drafts, but using his provided specs – and rendering the shape in CAD, we got it nailed-down and detailed.

The material for this job was the #21 X 3/4″ knotted nylon netting, diamond mesh pattern, with a 5/16″ rope border sewn-in around the perimeter.  After everything was designed, fabricated, and shipped out we received feedback from our customer that everything installed perfectly, looked fantastic, and he experienced no issues at all.
Here are the production drawings that we made for this customized nylon netting job for reference, and should you have something in-mind that you may want to have considered and quoted, feel free to email over your request and we can take a look!
